My name is Ethan Cheung.

I was given my first camera at the age of three,  a small, plastic, disposable camera that I took everywhere. Many cameras later, in my freshman year of high school, I was asked to document the season's final basketball game. Overnight, that game with the exuberance of the fans, the infectious team spirit, the crushing disappointment of benched players, propelled my passion for taking pictures and videos to freeze human moments in time.

Since then, I have had the opportunity to film dozens of teams across a variety of sports, including swimming, football, water polo, volleyball, lacrosse, basketball, soccer, and tennis. I have also worked with small businesses, such as Birch Brothers and the Asian University Basketball League, as well as NGOs, such as Food Angel and Musical Chaos in Hong Kong, to frame new products and services for the wider public.

Everywhere I go with my camera, I take my heritage with me. Half-Korean, half-Chinese, I have been most influenced in my life by my two very different grandmothers. They each taught me to treat all people with respect, kindness, and justice, and I take these lessons with me when capturing moments behind the lens.
